Warrant leads to arrests, recovery of stolen guns on Brockway

MORGANTOWN — Morgantown police served a search warrant this week at an apartment at 321 Brockway Ave., leading to the arrests of two men and the recovery of several stolen firearms, according to a press release issued by the Morgantown Police Department.

The search was conducted Tuesday as part of an investigation into a burglary, which was reported to the Morgantown Police Department on Sunday.

The search resulted in the recovery of several stolen firearms, as well as packaged marijuana and cash.

DeRon William Parrish, 30, of Morgantown, was charged with nighttime burglary, grand larceny, conspiracy and prohibited possession of a firearm.

Andre James Parrish, 27, of Morgantown, was also charged with grand larceny, nighttime burglary and conspiracy. Both remain in custody pending arraignment.

According to the release, the Morgantown Police Department would like to thank all the agencies that assisted, as well as those citizens who provided valuable information, which aided
in the apprehension of the suspects.
