Westover City garage to get new doors

WESTOVER — Westover’s City garage will soon have new insulated doors following the most recent meeting of the Westover City council.

The council voted 4-0 to purchase two insulated garage doors from Danny’s Door Service, LLC., of Morgantown for $4,860. Councilmen Steve Andryzcik and Al Yocum were not present at Monday’s meeting.

A second bid on the project from Sellaro’s Overhead Door Service was for $7,600.

At its previous meeting, the council voted to table voting on the bids because Danny’s bid of $4,530 was for non-insulated doors. The revised quote with insulated doors was only $330 more.

“I say Danny’s,” Councilman Leonard Smith said.

City Clerk Sandie Weis told the council about some of the various Christmas celebrations in Westover during her report.

The Westside Senior Center, Mt. Calvary Assembly of God Church and a secret Santa will be hosting three holiday luncheons in December.

The luncheons will be held Dec. 7 and 14 at Westover Council Chambers and Dec. 21 at the Senior Center.

All luncheons are at 2 p.m.

The council’s next regular meeting will be Dec. 3.
