Police identify three victims in fatal Friday crash; includes 90-year-old man

PENTRESS — Police have identified the three victims in Friday’s fatal wreck on the Mason/Dixon Highway, including a 90-year-old man.

Ray Booher, 90, was a passenger in the sedan that struck a coal truck in a head-on collision. He died en route to Ruby Memorial Hospital.

Patricia Hawkins, the 71-year-old driver, died at the scene. Passenger Danny Booher, 70, also died at the scene. All three were from New Martinsville.

According to the Monongalia County Sheriff’s Department, a 2013 Toyota Venza traveling west on the Mason/Dixon Highway crossed the center line and hit a 2001 Western Star Coal truck traveling eastbound.

A third passenger, identified as David Christian, was not seriously injured.

Leroy Keuning, 62, was driving the coal truck. He was not injured in the crash.
