Mountainaires men’s barbershop chorus prepares for Christmas concert

MORGANTOWN — The Mountainaires, the Morgantown Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society, is preparing for the holidays by rehearsing for a Christmas Show set for Dec. 1.

The Mountainaires is a group of men from all walks of life who come together and strive for excellence in a capella choral music, primarily in the barbershop-style.

The Mountainaires Barbershop Chorus meets from 7-9 p.m. each Monday in the basement of the Morgantown Church of Christ, 361 Scott Ave. Anyone can join the group at any Monday night rehearsal to hear nostalgic harmonies of the upcoming Christmas show.

The Mountainaires will be joined at the Christmas show by guest group The MacGlee Commnity Choir.

The show dinner show is set for Dec. 1 at Wesley United Methodist Church, 503 North High St., Morgantown. Dinner will be at 5 p.m., followed by the 7 p.m. show.
