Hearing rescheduled for suspect in high-speed police chase

KINGWOOD – A transport order from the regional jail for Roger Lee Strawser Jr. was not submitted for his hearing Friday, according to defense attorney Lance Rollo.
Strawser was indicted on charges of possession with intent to deliver cocaine, conspiracy, fleeing with injury and fleeing while DUI by the March Preston County Grand Jury.

Rollo suggested a plea agreement be heard by the court but his suggestion was denied. “I’d rather not,” Judge Steve Shaffer said. “He (Strawser) has a right to be present for all hearings.” Shaffer set a new hearing for Nov. 15.
