City of Morgantown hires new city clerk

MORGANTOWN — After reviewing more than 230 candidates, the City of Morgantown names area resident Christine Wade as the new City Clerk. She will begin the position Nov.12.
Wade, who is working toward a master’s degree in social work from WVU, brings more than 20 years of experience in record keeping and retention. She has 12 years of record-keeping experience with the federal government, eight of which were as a supervisor of records. From 2000-2009, she worked as a records and dispatch supervisor for the Morgantown Police Department.
“I am pleased to have the level of expertise in records and database management that Ms. Wade brings to the City of Morgantown,” said City Manager Paul Brake. “Plus, as a former employee, she is very familiar with the city organization and functions of our operations. She will truly be an asset to the executive management team.”
Wade resides in the Morgantown area with her husband and children.
