More than 30 cars were broken into at the WVU College of Law parking lot

More than 30 cars had their windows broken and items taken early Saturday morning.

The thief or thieves broke windows on 33 or 34 cars parked at the area 200 parking lot, by the WVU College of Law, WVU spokesperson April Kaul said.

She said the break-ins occurred between 3-6 a.m.

The university’s police department is talking with the vehicle owners, reviewing cameras and monitoring social media, she said.

The cost of parking in area 200 is $366 a year, according to WVU’s transportation and parking website.
