West Virginia Women’s Extravaganza offers a chance to get pampered

MORGANTOWN — Vendors from around the tri-state area will be in Morgantown on Sunday to show women how to pamper themselves.
The 2018 West Virginia Women’s Extravaganza is the largest women’s expo in West Virginia, according to a press release from organizer PR Plus Events.
The expo returns to the Mylan Park’s Ruby Community Center for the eighth year from 11 a.m.-4 p.m.
The extravaganza will showcase more than 100 of the tri-state area’s finest vendor booths, as well as entertainment, health screenings, games and a fashion show, according to the press release.
Vendors will include those specializing fashions, fitness, health, beauty, travel, business, family, home, garden, arts and crafts, and more. Vendors will sell products and services and more than 1,000 women are expected to attend.
There will be health spas, beauty specialists, fitness clubs, hair salons, jewelers, nutrition experts, fashion boutiques, medical professionals, home decorators, home improvement contractors, nail salons, massage therapists, tanning salons, hobbies and crafts, kitchen items, and much more, the release states.

Play Bingo at noon and help raise money for programs at SteppingStones for special needs children and adults.
At 2:30 p.m., join the Wine and Chocolate Tasting with Lambert’s Vintage Wines and Sarris Chocolates.
“What lady does not like wine and chocolates?” asked Labeth Hall, of PR Plus Events. “Our goal is to always have something exciting and new for the ladies to do.”

Hall said the day is filled with fun.
“Ladies of all ages can come and relax, enjoy the entertainment and shop til they drop,” she said. “They can also receive free makeovers, manicures and massages, too. It’s a great event to bring your mom, your sister or your best friends and have an amazing day.”
Register at the prize table for numerous prizes to be given away hourly. West Virginia Radio personalities will choose the winner of the Pamper Me Getaway, which includes two days and one night accommodations at Stonewall Resort & Spa. The package includes breakfast for two, two massages and two facials.
“This is the perfect getaway to relax and rejuvenate,” Hall said.

Another Grand Prize is a gift basket valued at over $1,000 to be given away at 3:30 p.m. (Winner must be present to win). The basket includes a three-day and two-night getaway to Massanutten Resort, plus a variety of gift cards and other gift items.
Entertainment includes the Motown Strutters, Pole Dancing with Dance Rebellion and other performers. Cash and prizes can be won by playing “Let’s Make A Deal” Game Show at 1 p.m. on the main stage and Bingo on the side stage.

In the Arts and Crafts Corners, women can “Paint with the Pros,” making canvas paintings and crafts. Professional artists will share their artistry.

A silent auction will be held all day, with all the proceeds going to breast cancer programs with the American Cancer Society. The event will close with the Designer Fashion Show at 3 p.m., highlighting many of the newest fashions from area boutiques, followed by the grand prize drawing.

Admission is $9 and the first 50 people to register receive a free gift. Anyone bringing a toy for a Children of the Floods Toy Drive will receive $1 off admission. All toys will be sent to shelters in the areas of recent floods.
