UHS cross-country teams sweep OVAC championships

BYESVILLE, Ohio — The University High boys’ and girls’ cross-country teams swept the OVAC team championships Saturday.
The UHS girls’ won with 29 points with Zoe Shetty (19:12) and teammate Caroline Kirby (19:25) finishing first and second.
Emma Troischt (20:20) took fifth overall.
The UHS boys’ won with 41 points with Larry Josh Edwards (16:21) finishing second overall and teammate Aidan Palmer (17:18) took fourth.
Nathaniel Edwards (17:35) took eighth for UHS.
The Morgantown High girls’ took second with 123 points and were led by Lea Hatcher (19:54), who took third.
The MHS boys’ took third with 84 points and were led by Jackson Core (17:19), who took sixth overall.

Gettysburg Invitational
GETTYSBURG, Pa. — The Preston High boys’ took sixth place and the girls’ team placed seventh.
The boys’ were led by Cole Friend (17:26) and Trey Smith-Tatham (17:45), who finished 10th and 20th overall.

The PHS girls’ were led by Allie Martin (19:37), who took second overall and Chloe Stark (20:41) was 12th.
