Margaret Flowers

Margaret “Margie” Austin Flowers, 72, of Morgantown, was reunited with her husband, Max, in the presence of the heavenly father on August 17, 2018.  She was born July 22, 1946, to the late John and Violet (Nuce) Austin.

Margie was passionate about the Lord and enjoyed teaching Sunday school and singing in the church choir.  She was a very intelligent person, with great patience and many thought she missed her calling as an English teacher.  When she wasn’t volunteering at church you could find Margie spending time with her buddy Brute and her cats.
In addition to her parents and her husband of 42 years she is preceded in death by her siblings, brother, Clifford Austin; sisters, Ada Sims and Jessie Knisell.

Margie is survived by her three children, Cynthia and James Saunders, Norman and Jackie Flowers, and Kimberly and Gary Straight; four grandchildren, Bradley Saunders, Chelsey Laudermilch, Amber Flowers, and Brittany Saunders;  one great-grandchild, Huey Brenes; and her brother and last surviving sibling, Edward Austin.

Family and friends will be received at Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home from 2 – 4 p.m. and 6 -8 p.m. on Tuesday, August 21, and from 10 – 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 22, with the service to follow with Pastor William Page officiating.  Burial will follow at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens.
