OAK HILL — An investigation continues after crews found bone fragments on a construction site at Plateau Medical Center.
Oak Hill Police responded to the back of the facility at about 10:30 Tuesday morning after excavators unearthed the items. The hospital is going through a renovation and expansion project.
It is unclear if the bone fragments were from a human or an animal. They have been sent to the state medical examiner’s office in Charleston for further evaluation.
Oak Hill Police said in a release the process to determine the origin of the bones is “usually not a quick one.”
