DEA and other enforcement agencies raid home and two pharmacies

MORGANTOWN — Officers from the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and other law enforcement agencies conducted raids Tuesday at a Madigan Avenue home and two pharmacies.
Kevin McWilliams, DEA spokesperson, said the agency was executing a search warrant on the owner of Bruceton Pharmacy and American RX Pharmacy. Both of those locations were searched as well as the owner’s home, McWilliams said Tuesday afternoon.
He said the raid was part of an investigation into pharmacy practices.
Both pharmacies are owned by Scott Tingler, according to the West Virginia Secretary of State. American RX Pharmacy is inside the Pierpont Centre Price Cutter, formerly Shop ‘n Save. Bruceton Pharmacy is at 198 Morgantown St., Bruceton Mills.
Tingler also owns DB Construction LCC, Core Holdings LLC and Tingler Rental Properties LLC.
The Madigan Avenue home, in Morgantown’s First Ward, is owned by Tingler Rental Properties LLC, according to the Monongalia County Assessor’s Office. The business lists its principal office as the Madigan Avenue property.
Officers were seen thoroughly searching a truck and trailer at the residence. They removed everything from inside the pick-up and its bed, unbolting and removing a toolbox from the truck bed.

McWilliams said nobody was arrested. Records, controlled substances and a vehicle were seized.
That investigation is ongoing and no more details were available Tuesday, he said.
The Dominion Post became aware of the incident at about 9:30 a.m. and officers were still on scene at 11:15 a.m., when a newspaper photographer left.
The DEA Tacticial Division Squad (TDS) Clarksburg, DEA TDS Pittsburgh, West Virginia State Police, Morgantown Police and Harrision County Sheriff’s Department participated in the raids.
