WVU hosts summer choir camp July 30-Aug. 3 at CAC

MORGANTOWN — The last of the WVU Community Music Program’s summer classes — Treble Voices Summer Choir — is now registering students. The week-long musical experience is intended for those ages 8-18 who like to sing. The camp runs from 9:30 a.m.-noon July 30-Aug. 3, on the premises of the WVU Creative Arts Center, under the direction of Leticia Grutzmann.
Students will gain experience with breathing, stretching and vocalizing exercises that are integrated into a varied choral repertoire. Additional time will be spent on developing aural and sight-reading skills as well, while also leaving time for socializing and making new friends.
The camp will end with informal, casual concert performances around town.
