Kathleen Virginia (Helmick) Ervin, 92, of Kingwood, died Saturday, June 9, 2018, at Pine Ridge Nursing Home, in Kingwood.
Kathleen was born Jan. 31, 1926, in Dry Fork, a daughter of the late Obed and Marge (Bonner) Helmick.
She enjoyed feeding the animals, walking, doing crossword puzzles, visiting with friends and family
and working in her garden. She was a member of Kingwood Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Kathleen is survived by three sons, Buddy Ervin, of Kingwood, William Ingram Jr., of Texas, and David Ingram, of Essex, Md.; one brother, William Helmick, of Morgantown; one sister, Helen Wise, of Morgantown; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold “Bud” Junior Ervin; two sons, Rodney and Randy Ervin; three sisters, Jean Ervin, Nancy Shipp and JoAnn Hallis; and two brothers, Obie Helmick and Keith Helmick.
Family and friends may call at the Rotruck-Lobb Kingwood Chapel from 2-5 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home chapel at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 13, with Jehovah’s Witnesses officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
