KINGWOOD — Complete a painting, “Barn in the Mountains,” in one evening at a Paint and Sip class 6 p.m. May 18 at Preston Community Arts Center, 123 S. Price St., in Kingwood. The instructor, art teacher Holly Groves, will guide attendees each step of the way.
Each student will be provided with an easel, canvas, paint and brushes to use. Individual paintings may vary as participants are given a chance to use their creativity and depending on ability.
Groves, a Preston High School graduate, received an art education degree from Fairmont State University, and a Master’s degree in professional school counseling from Liberty University. She has been teaching art in West Virginia schools for nine years.
Light refreshments and drinks to sip are included in the price of $25 per person. Brew Ha Ha is planning to be open next door. Call 304-329-1715 to reserve a spot by May 11. Space is limited.
