MORGANTOWN — WVU’s baseball game against Virginia Tech on May 9 will be televised regionally on AT&T SportsNet (Comcast channels 37 and 843 HD).
Dan Zangrilli and Ernie Galusky will call the action from Monongalia County Ballpark. First pitch is set for 6:30 p.m.
WVU and Virginia Tech meet for the 89th time. The Mountaineers won eight of the last 12 games between the rivals.

This weekend, WVU travels to Lawrence, Kan,, for a three-game Big 12 series against the Kansas Jayhawks.
Junior Max Sear was named the Player of the Year for the third straight season, at the team’s annual banquet Tuesday.
Sear led the team this season with a 73.03 scoring average. The Unionville, Ontario, native posted six top-20 finishes in tournament play, including four top 10s. Sear also was the Mountaineers’ leader in first-round average, last-round average, eagles, birdies and subpar strokes per round.
Sophomore Philipp Matlari earned the team’s Academic Achievement award.
A business major, he posted the team’s highest grade-point average of the year.
Senior Avery Schneider was named the program’s Most Improved. Schneider posted a scoring average of 74.36 as a senior, shaving nearly three strokes off his sophomore year average of 77.00.
