Woman arrested after pulling a gun on her son

MORGANTOWN — A Morgantown woman was arrested after allegedly pulling a gun on her son.
Kristy L. Pechinko, 40, of Morgantown, is charged with wanton endangerment involving a firearm, a felony.
If convicted, she faces one-five years in prison, or not more than one year in jail at the discretion of the court and/or a fine between $250 and $2,500.
According to a criminal complaint:
Monongalia County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a shooting on Twin Knobs Drive, past the Cheat Lake Animal Hospital, off Fairchance Road, Thursday evening.
Deputies identified Pechinko and her 16-year-old-son and were told by Pechinko she was in an argument with her son. She told deputies she pulled a pistol to scare him and she discharged the firearm in the home with her son feet away.
A bullet lodged in the floor, a spent shell casing and the gun used were taken as evidence and Pechinko was arrested.
