Mon Health welcomes new oculofacial surgeon

Mon Health welcomes oculofacial surgeon Dr. Jennifer Sivak-Callcott to its surgical team.

Sivak specializes in delicate surgical procedures in and around the eye to improve comfort, function, appearance and self-esteem for patients with a variety of eye conditions.

Common conditions include droopy eyelids, lesions or bumps on the eyelid, cancerous tumors around or behind the eye, thyroid eye and dry eye. Sivak also performs cosmetic and reconstructive procedures.

Sivak is 1 of only 5 oculofacial surgeons in West Virginia and brings with her nearly two decades of surgical experience.

Before joining Mon Health, Sivak was a professor of ophthalmology at WVU School of Medicine.

She earned her medical degree at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. She completed her residency in ophthalmology at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tenn., followed by a fellowship in orbital and ophthalmic plastic surgery at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada.

Sivak is board certified in ophthalmology and serves on the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship Oversight committee and the Editorial Board of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
