PATTY’S ART SPOT: hosts work by local artists, prints and originals by Patty. Patty’s Art Spot is now at a new location: 1836 Listravia Ave., Sabraton, behind McDonald’s. Hours: 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Tuesday and Saturday, 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Wednesday-Friday, closed Sunday and Monday.

ZENCLAY: hosts pottery classes. All-level wheel throwing pottery class: 6:30-8:30 p.m. Mondays, Jan. 15-Feb. 15; noon-2 p.m. Tuesdays, Jan. 16-Feb. 20; 6:30-8:30 p.m. Thursdays, Jan. 18-Feb. 22, cost is $190 for beginners plus tool kit, $225 for intermediate/advanced. GALLERY 62 WEST: in Grafton hosts its first exhibition in its newly remodeled space, titled “Brand New Act.” Featuring work by artists from across the country and around the world.

MORGANTOWN ART ASSOCIATION: The January show is an Artist Choice. The artist of the month for January is self-taught artist Cindy O’Brian, a Morgantown native who taught in Monongalia County. While working with her students she started writing children’s books that she self-illustrated. Open studio time is available from 5-8 p.m. Wednesdays for oil and acrylics artists, cost $5, space to store canvases and supplies provided, some easels available, call Jane at 304-296-0068 or email drjcardi@gmail.com. Watercolor classes with Susan Hall Witt from 10 a.m.-noon Mondays (everyone welcome, all levels) and 1:30-4 p.m. Tuesdays (OLLI and MAA members only). Eddie Spaghetti will host printing workshops in the new year, Laurie Goldstein-Warren will host a workshop April 6-8. Sign-up sheets available for all workshops are at the gallery. Membership in MAA is open to high school age and older, $35 per year. Age requirement is above high school age and yearly dues is $35, this allows you to participate in monthly shows, Kappa Tau, and art classes.
