WVU receiver Sills named to 3 All-American teams

MORGANTOWN — WVU junior wide receiver David Sills was named to the Walter Camp Football Foundation All-America team as a second-team selection, announced Dec. 7 at the ESPN College Football Awards Show.

Sills, the 21st Mountaineers player to be named to Walter Camp’s All-America team, also was named to SI.com’s All-America first team and is a second-team selection by SBNation. He becomes WVU’s 36th All-American selection since 2002 and 101st overall.

Sills finished behind Oklahoma State’s James Washington in the Biletnikoff Award voting, which goes to the nation’s top receiver. Sills leads the nation in touchdown receptions, with 18. He also finished the regular season with 60 catches for 980 yards, averaging 16.3 yards per catch, and had a long catch of 75 yards. He finished with 100 or more yards in four games and had seven multiple touchdown games.
