KINGWOOD – A new program to help Preston County cancer patients is now available, called Friends Thru Cancer.
Heidi LaRue, a nurse practitioner at WVU, said there are no income or age guidelines.
She said the goal of the program is to provide assistance with gas cards, nutritional supplements, co-pays and durable medical equipment. LaRue said the person seeking help can go to the hospital or doctor of their choice, even if it is out of state.
