MORGANTOWN — Coming to a house near you, or maybe even yours: The Winter Weather Posse.

This is the 12th year for the outreach effort that helps senior citizen homeowners winterize their homes for the coming snow and ice.

Nov. 11 is the day the Posse fans go out to help put up weather stripping and plastic over windows and all those other touches that make the winter easier.

Last year, Posse volunteers helped winterize 104 homes.

“I never thought it would catch on like this,” said Eleanor Green, the local educator and community activist who founded the project 12 years ago.
