WVU Figure Skating Club holds fundraiser

MORGANTOWN — The WVU Figure Skating Club performed Thursday evening, at The Morgantown Ice Arena.
The performance was a fundraiser for the club that featured food, a hot chocolate bar and raffles. Admission was $5 with an extra $3 if participants chose to skate after the show.
Rebecca Brazaitis, a member of the Mason-Dixon Figure Skating club, was helping with admission fees at the venue. When asked about the performance, she said, “We’re super excited for the girls. It’s one of their first fundraising events. It’s really grown, and it’s exciting to see them perform.”
Brazaitis said each club is happy to help the other with events.
The next performance will take place Sunday, from 4:15-5:05 p.m. The WVU skaters will partner with members of the Mason-Dixon Figure Skating club in a “Skating for Gold” showcase.
