MORGANTOWN — The trial for a man who police say robbed two people during a drug-deal was delayed until later in the summer.

Stephen Beasley appeared before Monongalia County Circuit Court Judge Phillip Gaujot on June 19 to update the status of his case. His trial was set for next week.

Police say that in January, Beasley met two victims in a parking lot at Bon Vista apartments to buy marijuana. Inside a vehicle, Beasley brandished a handgun and threatened the victims. He demanded drugs, cash and cell phones, then fled the scene.

The grand jury charged Beasley with first-degree robbery.
