Students sing, bring gifts to Madison Center

MORGANTOWN — Pre-kindergarten students spread some holiday cheer throughout The Madison Center on Dec. 18.

Four-year-olds from St. Francis Central Catholic School sang carols and brought items they had collected for the residents of the nursing home.

Julia DeVincent, director of the pre-kindergarten program at St. Francis, said the children had decorated ornaments at the Wow! Factory and brought them to the nursing home to hand out, along with collected items such as blankets, slippers, candy and hygiene items.

It’s all part of the school’s mission “We’re here to serve and not to be served,” she said.
