STAR CITY — Star City Council discussed possible solutions and encouraged more public opinion concerning rush hour traffic in a meeting Feb. 13.

No formal decisions were made regarding the traffic problem, but council is expected to hold a public hearing sometime in the future where residents of Star City would be welcomed to voice their opinions on what actions council should take.

“We want to hear what the citizens have to say,” councilor Cindy Ulrich said. “We want their suggestions.”

Council also wants the Division of Highways to become involved. A solution proposed in the past that would ease traffic flow was for the DOH to add another lane onto to Star City Bridge, so drivers coming off Boyers Avenue could merge onto Monongahela Boulevard without going through the traffic light.
