KINGWOOD — Preston County Commissioners were updated on several projects at their Nov. 27 meeting.

County Administrator Kathy Mace provided the update in the brief meeting. The updates included:

— The new county phone system is installed, and the last bugs are being worked out.

— A plan has been developed to fix a very large mud/water hole outside the wrestling barn near Preston High, which is owned by the county. Work done on neighboring properties contributed to the flow of water into the lot, she said. Repairs will not exceed $8,500.

— Commissioners approved a $450 contract to have the Preston Animal Shelter wired so a generator can be easily hooked up, if power is off.
