Prep roundup: Selders leads MHS boys’ hoops to win

WHEELING — Drew Selders scored 15 points and the Mohigans’ defense never allowed more than 11 points in any quarter in a 55-38 victory against Wheeling Park on Feb. 9.

The Mohigans have now won four straight and Lamar Haskins added seven rebounds to go with his eight points.

Cameron Selders added nine points for the Mohigans (11-7), who travel to John Marshall, at 7:30 p.m. today.



KINGWOOD — The Buccaneers scored on the inside with four seconds left for the winning basket.

Brayden Cutlip scored 18 and Greyson Shepherd added 16 for B-U.

Preston was led by Andrew Lantz’s 20 points and Ethan Livengood added 18.

Corey Pyles added 12 for the Knights (3-15), who travel to Robert C. Byrd, at 7:30 p.m. Monday.



CLARKSBURG — The Cee-Bees took third place in the WVHIT, behind Seth Casino’s 18 points and nine assists.

Casino was also named to the all-tournament team.

Gunner Brummage added 18 points for the Cee-Bees, who jumped out to a 21-1 lead and scored 30 points in the first quarter.

That was offset by C-B being held to just six in the second quarter.

Trevor Carder led the Red Devils with 22 points.

Clay-Battelle (9-9) travels to Hundred, at 7:30 p.m. Monday.
