MORGANTOWN — Do you know what the sections of DNA taken out during RNA transcription are called? Irina Stanescu, 13, does and the Suncrest Middle School eighth-grader is just one student competing in the Department of Energy’s National Science Bowl competition, Feb. 9, at the Mountainlair.

Mountaineer Middle and St. Francis Central Catholic Schools are also sending teams with the aim to win it all and compete in the National Science Bowl Championship in Washington, D.C., in April.
