MORGANTOWN — For the second year in a row, the WVU football team will need to replace its running backs coach.

According to their official website, the Tennessee Titans hired Tony Dews as their running backs coach on Feb. 6. Mike Vrabel was named the Titans’ head coach in January and brings Dews aboard after spending one season with the Mountaineers.

Dews never coached running backs prior to this season. He came to WVU in February 2017 from Arizona, where he coached wide receivers. It was Dews second stint with the Mountaineers, coaching wide receivers in 2007. This will be his first job in the NFL.

Last year, Dews filled the position left vacant by JaJuan Seider, who left to coach the running backs at Florida. Seider is now at Penn State at the same position.
