MORGANTOWN — WVU is once again trying to build a mountain of toys to donate to an area charity during the holiday season.

Donations for Toy Mountain began, said Kim Harrison, with the WVU Student Engagement and Leadership office. The toys will be donated to Christian Help and will help almost 1,000 area families, she said.

The toy drive kicked off Nov. 29 and will run until Dec. 11. Collections will be taken during the Dec. 5 men’s basketball game and also at the women’s basketball games Dec. 7 and Dec. 10.

But you don’t have to drop them off at the basketball games; there are other places to donate, Harrison said.

“If students and employees want to drop off toys right here in the Mountainlair, they’re welcome to do so,” she said.

WVU has constructed Toy Mountain every year since 2000.
