MORGANTOWN — The Edwin J. and Naomi F. Morgan Medical Scholarship has been established in memory of Dr. Edwin James Morgan.

The $50,000 scholarship has been established by Morgan’s brother and sister-in-law, Dr. Raymond F. Morgan, and his wife, Sue Ann Morgan, benefiting the School of Medicine at WVU.

The scholarship will be awarded to a medical student who displays academic merit and financial need, and someone who may have similar qualities to the late Dr. Morgan — humble, charming, brilliant and committed to helping others.

Morgan passed away Oct. 19 at age 80. A memorial service for him will be held at 11 a.m. Nov. 2 at St. John University Parish.
