Police seek man wanted for kidnapping woman in Preston County

KINGWOOD — The Preston County Sheriff’s Department has released a photo of a man sought for allegedly kidnapping a woman in Preston County and assaulting her in Pennsylvania.

Virgil Lee Hall Jr., 44, had a last known address of Fox Hollow Road in Bruceton Mills. Hall has active warrants in Preston County for attempted murder, strangulation, malicious wounding and kidnapping. He also has warrants in Pennsylvania.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, Hall took the woman from her home in Preston County on Nov. 18 and drove her to adjacent Wharton Township, Pa. After assaulting the woman, he drug her by her hair back into West Virginia.

Hall is described as a white male, 5-feet-10-inches tall, weighing 170 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes.
