Police search for three Mon County robbery suspects

MORGANTOWN — A man reported that he was robbed by three suspects in the parking lot bordering Willowdale Road, early Nov. 27.

According to a press release: At 12:40 a.m., a man came into the Monongalia County Sheriff’s Office to report that he was jumped by three black males while walking a woman home from a social event at his brother’s house.

He described one of the suspects as wearing a black polo shirt with an emblem on it. This suspect had dreadlocks. The other two suspects were wearing black hoodies.

The suspect in the polo shirt reportedly shoved the victim to the ground, and the other two suspects displayed black pistols.

The suspects took money, an iPhone and the victim’s wallet and told him to stay on the ground until they left or they would shoot him.

When the victim looked up, he saw a maroon Toyota Camry speeding away in the direction of the WVU football stadium, on Willowdale Road.

The victim did not sustain injuries during the robbery.
