Fairmont State hosts No. 2 Shepherd for ‘Maroon-Out’

FAIRMONT — Fairmont State hosts No. 2-ranked Shepherd in the Mountain East Conference Game of the Week at 7:10 p.m. Oct. 12, at Duvall-Rosier Field.

The game will be a “Maroon-Out.” All fans are encouraged to wear maroon.

All fans entering the field will get a free Starbucks Doubleshot drink.

The game will be broadcast on WVMetroNews.com. Travis Jones and Rasheed Marshall will call the action.

The Falcons (4-1, 4-2 MEC) are looking to rebound from a 19-14 loss to Notre Dame College.

Shepherd (5-0, 5-0), No. 2 in the AFCA poll, has scored more than 40 points per game in every game this season.

The Rams blew out West Liberty, 51-14, Oct. 7.

Shepherd has not lost a regular-season game since Nov. 15, 2014 — a 23-20 overtime loss to Concord. The Rams have not lost a regular-season road game since Oct. 18, 2014, at Notre Dame College (35-34).
