FAIRMONT — The February term of the Marion County Grand Jury indicted 39 people in its latest round which wrapped up on Feb. 6.

The grand jury indicted 71-year-old James Ray Hess for sexual abusing family members. He was charged with first-degree sexual abuse and sexual abuse by a parent, guardian or custodian.

Police say that the victim, a minor, told police she and Hess played a “game” which included Hess touching her private parts and she touched his.

The victim said that twice she walked into a closet and Hess unzipped his pants and made her touch his genitals. She also said that Hess got into bed with her and abused her.
