KINGWOOD — Council agreed to inquire again about whether a building owned by Frontier in a residentially zoned area is violating zoning.

The structure at the corner of McDonald Street and Springhill Drive has been there for decades. Last year neighbors asked for support in getting the trees and shrubbery cut back and more information on whether the current use fits zoning. Susan Hardesty, who lives next door, said Frontier promised to trim trees this year; now it’s been pushed back ’til 2018.

City Clerk Mary Howell is to write Frontier and request a meeting with council about property upkeep and the name of the person to contact regarding the building’s use.
