MORGANTOWN — FCX Systems — the world’s leading manufacturer of solidstate frequency converters and ground power support (GSE) — has been awarded the contract to supply 54 270VDC precision ground power units for the Royal Australian Air Force’s main F-35 base at RAAF Williamtown for the New Air Combat Capability project.

The units will be manufactured in Morgantown at FCX headquarters.

This is the second contract awarded to FCX to supply the RAAF with 270VDC ground power units for the F-35 aircraft.

“It is a great honor to be supplying our equipment to one of America’s greatest allies — Australia,” said Jason Summers, vice president of business development. “It is of the utmost importance to the entire FCX family that the U.S. and its allies have the best possible equipment available for all daily operations.”
