GRANVILLE — At Feb. 13’s Granville town council meeting, Explorer Post 300 presented some upcoming community events it’s planning to host.

Explorer Post 300 is a program associated with the Boy Scouts of America that allows people, ages 14-21, to explore the fundamentals of law enforcement duties.

“It’s a way to get out there and really introduce people to the law enforcement career field,” Granville Police Officer Ian Frist said.

Explorer Post 300 currently has five members, and through the program those members have learned some law enforcement procedures, such as fingerprinting and processing.

They will host a retro video game night for the residents of Granville. This free event will be held March 24 at the Social Hall.
