Tee to Green offers indoor golf in themed bar

Morgantown’s Tee to Green makes it possible for you to practice your swing rain or shine.

Tee to Green, a sports bar at Pierpont Landing, has three indoor golf simulators.
“What we wanted to incorporate was inside golf simulators with a sports bar and kind of merge those two concepts together, into one bigger concept of golf, beer, fun and food,” owner Christopher Leedy said.

The simulators pick up how far the ball will go, the spin, velocity and impact angle to give a realistic picture of your drive.

“The accuracy of the machines is incredible,” Leedy said. “They are the same ones that the Golf Channel uses. So they are basically the top of the line golf simulator that you can purchase.”

The indoor machines give golfers a chance to practice even when the weather doesn’t cooperate.

“It’s just a good place to come when you’re trying to get a little bit of practice in,” customer Eric Small said. “We got rained out, we actually had a tee time at one of the local courses and we got rained out, so we called up and they had a space available.”

With the bar just feet away, it is easy to eat and drink while you play.
“It’s a good time. It is really nice if you do like golfing, if you’re a causal golfer or something, like me,” Small said. “It’s really great because you can come down here and you just have to walk five feet to get a drink instead of all the way to the clubhouse.”

Tee to Green isn’t just for golf pros. With 41 courses and a putt putt option, anyone can play.

“It’s good for any age, any skill level,” employee Tyler Sherman said. “I mean, you can set it up to where it’s on different levels where it’s harder for some guys who want the challenge, or you can set it up easier for beginners.”

Tee to Green is open Tuesday through Sunday.  Leedy said he plans to be open seven days a week when Monday night football starts in the fall.
